" Mummy, can we keep it ?"
Visiting the Farm
Until 2nd November
the farm opens every day at 11am
It is wonderfully
rewarding to see the broadening of horizons and increased depth of
understanding that can be achieved when young children first come into
close contact with animals. It is a great shame that so many of today's
urban based children are deprived of any real contact with animals and
the natural environment. Baylham House Farm aims to rectify that
situation wherever possible.
The farm is located
within a Scheduled Ancient Monument site embracing two Roman forts, an
extensive Romano-British civilian settlement and the convergence of
five Roman roads. Displays and information relating to both rare breed
farm animals and the Roman site can be found within the farm's
Visitors' Centre which also sells souvenirs, gifts and refreshments. We
also have lovely riverside and lakeside walks and picnic areas.
The main area of
the farm is wheel-chair and push chair friendly and a disabled toilet
and baby changing facilities are available in the Visitor's Centre.
With entry prices at
£5.00 for an adult,
£4.00 for concessions,
£2.00 for
children from 4 - 16 and
under
4's FREE,
Groups of 15 or more paying visitors will get a 50p
reduction on the above entry prices.
Season tickets valid for twelve months are available at the
cost of 4 normal entry tickets.
