Sponsorship/ Adoption
Many of our regular visitors to Baylham House establish a personal bond with a particular animal on the farm by means of an adoption or a sponsorship. In addition, we now find that more and more people are looking for that unusual or unique gift to give to someone special and enquiries about adoption are becoming more and more frequent, especially just before Christmas. If you have ever thought about animal adoption either for yourself or as an unusual gift for somebody else, read on and find out about the Baylham House scheme.
We run a double purpose scheme which provides for both adoption and sponsorship.
Both adoption and sponsorship will provide:
A pass to the farm allowing free access for a twelve month period whenever the farm is open and at other times by arrangement.

A certificate which includes a photo of the chosen animal.

and a notice on the paddock fence giving details of the adopter or sponsor.

Adoption
Adoption provides a unique and personal link to a particular animal because nobody else can adopt or sponsor that animal. Adopters have the first option to buy any progeny that the animal may produce and also, in the case of sheep, first option to buy its fleece.
Adopters will receive updates to keep them informed of any significant events in their animal's life.
Adoption is more expensive than sponsorship and the cost varies with the kind of animal.
Any pig is £120.00; any group of poultry is £45.00; any goat or sheep is £60.00; any cow £240.00; an alpaca is £80.00.
Sponsorship
Sponsorship costs £40 irrespective of the kind of animal.
Any number of people can sponsor a particular animal.
A currently adopted animal cannot be sponsored.
Animal Availability
A list of animals available for adoption or sponsorship is kept by the till in the shop.
Please note that we don't offer any young stock for adoption or sponsorship unless we intend to keep it on the farm when it grows up.
