The Baylham Team

Baylham House Farm is run by the Storer family with the invaluable help of others.

Richard and Ann Storer bought Baylham House in 1985 whilst Richard was still in the RAF.

Richard concentrates on the office work, looking after correspondence, wages, tax and PAYE, accounts, VAT, the website, advertising and the educational elements of the farm's activity.

Until we closed for winter in 2010 Ann was a key member of the team, running the shop, managing the sale of the stock and the farms accommodation.

However, in January 2011, after a long illness, sadly Ann passed away.

Neil, Richard and Ann's son, joined the Baylham team a long time ago and is now responsible for managing all the farm's livestock.

Christine, Neil's partner, is developing the vegetable garden and cooks most of the home-made food items sold in the café.

Justin started his training by doing an animal care course at Otley College. On completing his course, in conjunction with the College, we offered him an apprenticeship in 2005. On completing his apprenticeship with us we took Justin on as a full time stockman and farm worker.

We also have a team of work experience students, mainly from Otley College, and a group of dedicated volunteers.  Most of the volunteers are still at school, having set their sights on going to veterinary college to become vets or veterinary nurses but the other volunteers are kindred spirits who just want to help.

Currently our volunteer team comprises:

Weekdays: Christopher, Sarah, Amy, Taymar

Weekend Volunteers: Hannah Cloke, Jen Marchant, Rebecca Watts, Hannah, Emma Liddell, Chloe Watson,  Josh, Katie, Georgina, Heidi, Honor-May, Sam, Rita
